Rainy day

Everyone was sick (except Jack) this last week. We started to feel better, and then it rained. So, we spent the ENTIRE day in our pajamas on Sunday. We read the 30 books we checked out from the library, made homemade Playdough, oobleck, hot cocoa, and these juggling balls that are balloons filled with lentils. Howie also took Jack to get a Zu Zu pet on Saturday that he has really wanted because he was a trooper while everyone was sick. He spent some time making a cage for his new hamster, Captain Ribbit on Sunday. It was a very fun day and we didn't even leave the house.
I love my little family.

These balls are actually really cool!

Dentist for Julianne

No cavities + a super-cool dentist = happy parents

Clean teeth, the new hat they gave her, and her goody bag!

Valentine's Day

I took the morning off of school to go with Julianne to her class for a party. I had a great time just being with her!

The afternoon (prep time only) was spent in Jack's classroom.

Jack and his friend Dylan

What a great day! When I got home I found my husband to be feeling icky. He had written me the sweetest poem and picked up California Rolls (because he knows I love sushi and he HATES it) with a beautiful rose before he felt too sick to hardly get up.

Anthem Park

Last Sunday we went out to Anthem Park. Julianne was coughing everywhere and had a fever so we didn't go to church, but she had a ton of energy. What a great day it turned out to be. They have a great park out there!

We brought bread to feed the birds.

Happy 8th Wedding Anniversary

Howie and I celebrated 8 years on the 15th. Good thing we celebrated early because we were both dead-dog sick on our actually anniversary. This was us on the top of the Pointe Hilton the weekend before. I love you dearly, Howie!
I feel blessed that I said, "YES!"

Pizza & Basketball

The other night we made BBQ Chicken Pizza and went to Madison's basketball game. Our kids loved the game, and the pizza was super tasty!

Julianne brought her binoculars

Golf

We have been trying to get Jack to the golf course
once each weekend because he LOVES to play.

The Mom Prom

Jack and I went again this year, and had a great date. I took him to Panda Express before to make it an official date. He danced his socks off, but I forgot to bring my camera inside again this year. Before we left Howie took our picture, and Julianne snuck in too! What a great date!!!

Jack and Julianne

Every so often my kids get along REALLY well. The other night they were so adorable together. I went out to take a picture and they kept asking me to take more.
Here are a few of my favorites.
I love you guys SO much!!!

Discrete Math

I have to teach Euler Paths and Euler Circuits to my fifth graders. To make it a LITTLE more exciting we build them with toothpicks and marshmallows. When Jack saw them in my classroom he started building his little heart out. Needless to say this was an "art project" that lasted for about five days on and off. Five bags of marshmallows later...
SO FUN!!!

Jack's 6th Birthday!

Behind on Blogging...AGAIN!
You know it's bad when Jack's birthday was three weeks ago! I guess we have been busy!

So... three weeks ago we woke up early before school to open presents. He wanted omelets in the bag for breakfast. He picked chocolate milk and cookies for a birthday treat at school. He had soccer practice after school and then he picked his favorite, Panda Express for dinner. I only got a shot of the fortune cookie part, oops! We love you so much, Jack! I feel so blessed to have you in my life! 6!!! WOW!!!
