Jack is getting so much better. He had three hits at his last game and got on base each time. His catching improved too. No hits to the face this week. Go Jack!

Jack Playing Catcher
So fun to watch! We love baseball in our house, and Jack has really been enjoying this season. He caught most of the balls behind the plate. Two managed to pass his glove and hit him directly in the face mask. After we found out he was not hurt we had to laugh a bit. The balls just hit him and rolled right back to the pitching machine. Thank god for the gear!

Prescott Overnight
We decided to take the kids up to Prescott for an overnight since we had two days off of school. We love it up there, and are considering moving there! As soon as we got there the kids wanted to swim, and go in the hot tub.

The next morning we ate a yummy breakfast and then went for a hike
around Willow Lake.

We went to a park that had a skate/bike park too. Jack LOVED it.
I must admit it made me hold my breathe.
Julianne's Gynastics
We finally caved and splurged financially to have Julianne take gymnastics. I won't even mention the price, but I found it to be the best activity she has done yet. They set up a non-stop workout for a complete hour. Julianne LOVES it, and I was VERY impressed at the things they had the kids doing. I hope it really helps with her coordination. I am going to teach dance once a week after school, and it will cover the extra expense, so enjoy Julianne!
A Puppet Show and Dress Up
The other day I found the kids trying to make a show. I suggested making it into a puppet show, and it literally kept the kids busy for about an hour. They would call me in every twenty minutes or so. They were very funny and made no sense at all.

Later Addison was over for Sunday dinner and the girls played dress up!
What a creative day!

Jack's Baseball Draft
So Jack is playing at the farm level now...crazy! They make all the kids come out to "see what they can do" then draft them to four different teams. We were excited because the baseball fields are all at one of our favorite parks, Altadena. Julianne loved playing in the water the first hour. Then we went to watch Jack the second half. He did great, and we are really excited because he has a terrific coach too. It is going to be a great season! Go Jack! Go Royals!!!
