Christmas Day

 Got up and opened gifts.  The kids were in heaven!

 

 My favorite... Julianne opened the gift she was SO wanting- a basket for her bike.  Look at her glee!

 We had omlettes in the bag and cinnamon rolls.

 We stayed in pajamas the entire day, and played, played, played!  My dad spent the day with us and it was fun to have him too.

 We went for an hour walk while Julianne biked and Jack jogged most of the way.

 TONS of piano playing!!!

 We ended the evening heading over to my cousin's for dessert in our pajamas.  

It was our best Christmas YET!

Christmas Eve

 I took the kids out to the grocery store and lunch while Howie had an early gift from us delivered to the house.  The kids came in thru the front door to find...

A PIANO!!! 

 

 

 Julianne gave Howie a hug and said, "You're the best daddy ever!"  I must say she is pretty smart.

Then we went to Uncle Jared and 

Aunt Missy's for presents and dinner.

It was a great evening.  My dad came back with us 

and stayed the night.

Sunday in Sedona

 We woke up and went for a hike after breakfast.  After breakfast we went swimming and relaxed.  Then, we went over to Los Abrigados for a picnic lunch down by the creek.  Julianne fed the birds for a while and we played a few games of chess too.

 

 After lunch we took a long hike up to Chicken Point.  It was 2.3 miles in and 2.3 miles out.  I am super proud to say that both kids made it on their own!!!  Grandpa walked most of the way with Julianne and they had adorable conversations the whole way there and back.  Some of my favorite lines from Julianne were:

"Grandpa Deac, I don't know why I like you so much... I just do!"

and

"Grandpa, you know so much about the Earth.  How many planets have you been to? Grandpa replied with, "Just Earth, Julianne."  Then Julianne went on to ask, "You haven't even been to Texas?"   

We love it up there!
