Christmas Day

The kids were up SUPER early and opened presents right away.  Then we had omelets in the bag and took a bike ride.  After lunch we went to my brother's house.  We opened gifts, played, had an amazing evening meal and started a new tradition of watching a Christmas movie in our pajamas.  This year's movie was "Love Actually"

Goodbye Braces!

Jack got his braces off at the beginning of November and I found this picture off Howie's phone.  Congratulations, son!  One kid down and one to go...

Christmas Eve

We went for a LONG bike ride as a family from our house to cave park.  We went to the Peska's for an open house with many friends and then we ordered pizza with my family here at the house.  We all agreed that it sounded great, but was a one-and-done.  The kids opened a gift early and after asking and me not being able to lie, were told that Santa is make-believe fun.  They both totally understood and were excited to see what "Santa" would bring them in the morning.

District Half Mile Meet

Jack ran and placed second in the district half mile at North Canyon High School.  He was very excited, and we were really proud of him!

They had to say their name and school for the crowd.

Getting in the Christmas Mood

After dinner at Desert Ridge we took the kids to the J.W. Marriot to see the gingerbread village and got hot cocoa on the way to Santa's house.  It is a fun tradition that our kids always look forward to.

Julianne asked Howie if they could make a bed and sleep by the tree that night.  I love that he is always willing to be an engaging father.
